Premier Event Management (PEM), a leading endurance sport event producer and organizer, has acquired three well-known triathlons, The Nation’s Triathlon, Philadelphia Triathlon and Lake Geneva Triathlon from Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI). PEM shares a long-term relationship with all three events, having produced The Nation’s Triathlon for 10 years, Philadelphia Triathlon for 5 years and Lake Geneva Triathlon for three years.

“We have shared a long term relationship with CGI over the years, producing several of their triathlon events and we are thrilled to take ownership of these three well established events and continue the good work of CGI,” said PEM President and CEO Bill Burke. “PEM is committed to growing the sport of triathlon and recognizes the popularity of these middle to short distance races. The addition of these triathlons fits nicely into our endurance event portfolio and we are excited to welcome athletes across the country to our courses in DC, Philadelphia and Lake Geneva.”

“PEM has been an exceptional partner over the years and this deal makes perfect sense for Bill and his team to take over this event business,” said Josh Furlow, President of CGI. “The triathlon community should know that these world-class events are in great hands and that CGI remains dedicated to supporting triathletes of all abilities through our Triathlete media brand, while focusing on growing our core running events.”

PEM continues to make its mark in the middle to short distance triathlon community, with the acquisition of these three modified Olympic distance triathlons. Registration is now open for the following three races:
