A 37 kilometre section of Nga Haerenga, New Zealand Cycle Trail was officially opened at Te Puia in Rotorua this morning, in an event attended by the Associate Minister for Tourism Hon Chris Tremain, Green Party Spokesperson for Cycling Kevin Hague, Rotorua Mayor Kevin Winters and Te Puia CEO Tim Cossar.

New Zealand sprinters Katie Schofield and Eddie Dawkins grabbed three medals between them to highlight the opening night of finals at the Oceania Track Cycling Championships in Adelaide.
Amid scorching conditions in Adelaide today, Schofield partnered London Olympian Natasha Hansen to win the team sprint. The Otago rider then finished second to Olympic medallist Kaarle McCulloch in the 500m time trial.

The Kiwis were once again triumphant on the second day of racing at the IPCAS race hosted by indoor snow centre SnowWorld in Landgraaf in the Netherlands on 23rd November. New Zealand adaptive snowboarder Carl Murphy (Wanaka) claimed his second gold medal of the competition in the Lower Limb Impaired category with Byron Raubenheimer (Auckland) bringing home the bronze.
