Australia’s only professional road cycling team Orica-GreenEDGE (OGE) today announced a range of initiatives to reaffirm its hard-line stance against doping, including a full external expert review of its policies and procedures and a pro-active review of all riders and team members in light of recent disclosures regarding past practices in the sport.

Following the conclusion of the 25th ITU Congress, the International Triathlon (ITU) is pleased to announce the election of eight athlete representatives from seven countries to its Athlete Committee. Double Olympians Jessica Harrison (FRA) and Kris Gemmell (NZL) were re-elected for another consecutive two-year term, in addition to five athletes, which includes two paratriathletes for the first time.

ITU awards 2014 and 2015 Multisport World Championships

Vancouver, Canada (31 October 2012) - The International Triathlon Union (ITU) today announced a trio of host cities for three Multisport World Championships in 2014 and 2015.  The 2014 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships were awarded to Zittau, Germany. In 2015, the ITU Duathlon World Championships will be hosted by Adelaide, Australia, while the ITU Long Distance Triathlon will be held in Motala, Sweden.

An excited crowd of spectators welcomed the 2012 Crocodile Trophy winner Ivan Rybarik (CZE) on Grassy Hill in Cooktown today. On the ninth stage into Cooktown, Josef Benetseder crowned the Crocodile Trophy 2012 with a stage win for Austria ahead of Mike Mulkens (BEL) and the Australian Luke Haines. Ondrej Fojtik claims the overall second place and Wolfgang Krenn comes in third.

Rybarik dominates field again and claims stage in Laura - Croc stage 8

Ivan Rybarik was again the fastest Crocodile Trophy racer across the finish line today at Laura after an impressive ride and solo finish. Rybarik secured his lead by more than 5 minutes over second in the elite GC, fellow Czech rider Ondrej Fojtik. Fojtik finished third today, only seconds behind Mike Mulkens (BEL). With one more stage into Cooktown and Rybarik holding a comfortable lead, him and all podium contenders agree that the fickle Crocodile Trophy isn’t over yet so the camp is trying to recover in glistening heat at Laura and gearing up for the arrival on Grassy Hill tomorrow.
