Designers show support to find a cure for breast cancer

The Breast Cancer Research Trust is hosting an exclusive fashion event together with some of New Zealand’s leading designers, to help take a stand against breast cancer.

Taking place on Wednesday 7 May 2014,Fashion For A Cure will showcase some of the finest Kiwi’s designers, including; Trelise Cooper, Taylor, Moochi, Lonely Hearts, liam, Andrea Moore and Storm. 

Each will present a range of beautiful pieces and later on in the evening, actor and BCRT Ambassador, Shane Cortese, will auction off items donated by some of the designers.

Phillipa Green at BCRT, says: “It’s fantastic to see so many designers and the Newmarket Business Association support the fight against breast cancer.”

“New Zealand has one of the highest incidence rates and the third highest death rate in the western world.  There is an urgent need to find a breast cancer cure and stop it in its tracks - we’re on a mission to achieve this.” 

“All proceeds raised from the Fashion For A Cure will go directly towards finding a cure for breast cancer by 2018.”
