There’s never been a better reason to buy a new lipstick.

Farmers and well-respected cosmetic companies have joined forced in a bid to raise funds for Look Good Feel Better’s awareness campaign Feel Better Month.

Farmers are donating $1 from every lipstick sold during July and Lancome, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Yves Saint Laurent, Estee Lauder and Shiseido are matching this with an extra $1 donation to the not-for-profit New Zealand cancer charity.

Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to improving the wellbeing and self-confidence of people undergoing treatment for any type of cancer through practical workshops.

The charity, which has been part of the New Zealand community for 24 years, launched the first Feel Better Month this July. The campaign is focused on making Kiwis look and feel great while supporting a charity that does just that for women and teens with cancer.

Look Good Feel Better General Manager, Clare O’Higgins, says she’s thrilled to have the support of such well-know and trusted cosmetic companies.

“Elizabeth Arden was the first company to come on board with Farmer’s idea of giving back from lipstick sales as part of Feel Better Month. Once the other brands knew what our charity was trying to achieve they were eager to jump in and broaden the campaign.

“Farmers is also the exclusive outlet to sell our beautiful Look Good Feel Better lipstick pens and bookmark and nail files and have donation stands too” adds O’Higgins.

There’s a wide range of ways to get involved with Feel Better Month this July. Shoppers at Westfield Shopping Centre can write on the Wall of Wishes with a colourful butterfly note of support, handbag lovers can purchase from Saben’s ‘Power of Red Range’ online or selected Saben stockist with all proceeds going to the charity and those with a sweet-tooth can pick-up a ‘Look Good Feel Better’ bouquet from Edible Blooms with $10 being donated.

“We hope that with the support of these amazing companies we will be able to reach our goal of being in 30 centres in the next twelve months so that no cancer participant needs to travel more than 30 minutes to attend a workshop,” concludes O’Higgins.
