Dracula’s Spinning A Web On The Gold Coast
Following the sizzling success of the 2013-2014 season of the live show Sin & Tonic, Dracula’s latest production, Spiderlash promises to spin a seductive web of sizzling burlesque, graveyard rock, tummy- clutching comedy and masochist madness. Expecting to launch to a packed Gold Coast audience on Tuesday 8 July the 2014-2015 show, Spiderlash, is the latest offering from Dracula’s creative vault. According to Draculas Director, Haydie Newman, the show will offer a fast past evening of vampire variety with a unique new spin. “Spiderlash will provide a complete night of entertainment with sexy new Vampire Vaudeville comparable to the dynamic entertainment seen at the famous Spigeltent travelling pavilion.” Pre-sale tickets for Spiderlash are available now from $90 -$130 per person and include a ghost train ride, live jazz, 3 course dinner and two hour variety show spectacular.

Dreamworld Unveils New Ride & Slide for September
After much speculation, Dreamworld is pleased to unveil its newest ride called the Tail Spin as part of its new Ocean Parade development. With 12 rider-operated mini aeroplanes that reach 72 feet into the sky, the Tail Spin allows guests to enjoy as much [or as little] thrill as they please with controls that allow riders to spin at their own pace. Wipeout Re-ops: After 20 years of service and 7 million riders, Dreamworld’s iconic Wipeout will re-open after undergoing a major facelift. The Wipeout’s relaunch is the first installment to

Gold Coast 600 Announces New Naming Sponsor and Reinvigorated Party Precinct
The iconic Gold Coast 600 returns to the world renowned street circuit this October along with a new, long- term naming rights sponsor, a reinvigorated trackside precinct and the biggest high octane, high energy entertainment. Castrol EDGE is now the naming rights sponsor of Queensland’s largest sporting and entertainment event which this year will be taken to new levels on, and off, track. The event has invested in 770 additional grand stand seats around the track after they were completely sold out well in advance of last year’s event and a completely refurbished corporate structure on pit straight with enclosed, air-conditioned suites on the bottom level. Tickets are available from as little as $30 for general trackside and $75 for a fan stand seat. At the corporate end of the spectrum there are numerous options available for the full experience on pit straight or in any of the VIP areas around the circuit. Gold Coast entertainment king Billy Cross will add his own touch with an exclusive over-18s Las Vegas style day club - Club 600 - on MacIntosh Island, complete with a beach stage and all-day, world class DJs and celebrities. Australia’s premier hip hop band the Hilltop Hoods will feature in a Saturday evening performance to be included in the event ticket. Twin Towns $7 Million Conference Venue Upgrade and Makeover
Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts on the border of Queensland and New South Wales, the host venue for some of the most impressive national and international conferences and events held in Australia, has announced a $7 million upgrade of its conference and events facilities. Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre Undergoing Multi-Million Dollar Makeover

Cycle Off-Road – The Biggera Creek Greenway
The first section of a new $1.7 million missing link in the Gold Coast’s 800 km cycleway network has been completed in Labrador. It’ll soon be possible to walk or cycle off-road from Hollywell, through Runaway Bay, Coombabah, Biggera Waters and Labrador, all the way to Parklands in Southport, connecting to G:link, Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University. The shared cycle and pathway, through Keith Hunt Park in Labrador, is part of the 3.5km Biggera Creek Greenway which will close the final gap in a 9 km off-road route from Hollywell to Parklands.

A 42.7 kilometre test of endurance comprising a 22.5km surf ski leg from Coolangatta to Surfers Paradise and back down to Broadbeach, followed by a beach run of 2.3km from Broadbeach to Nobby’s Beach; a 2km surf swim from Nobby’s Beach to Miami; a 2km beach run from Miami to Burleigh and a 5.3km board race from Burleigh to Currumbin Creek, before the final gruelling 8.6km beach run from Currumbin Creek to Coolangatta.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s First ZOO RUN (23 November)
An early morning jog within Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has never been offered before. Now Tegan Lather, a young wildlife enthusiast and charity entrepreneur, has organised Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s first ZOO RUN to be held on Sunday the 23 November 2014. The ZOO RUN theme is focused around fun and fitness for all ages and levels. It will start with registrations from 6:00am with the first wave of 5km runners starting at 6.30am sharp. Not only will you get to experience the calm and serenity of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary before opening hours while running the ZOO RUN course, but all the runners are invited to stay for FREE for the day. The runners can also get their friends and family into Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the day of the ZOO RUN for “Mates Rates” at just $20 each.
