Go stand up paddling with the whole family this summer!

Global Surf Industries is proud to introduce the first stand up paddle board (SUP) range custom designed for kids.  Available in sizes starting from 7’0'’, the Adventure Paddleboarding All Rounder is a stable, functional board that can be ridden by children as young as six  and is designed to be light weight, (starting from just 6.5kg!) easy to paddle, manouvre and carry for little people wanting to dip a toe into the sport of stand up paddling this summer.

Better yet, the All Rounder is also available in a range of sizes for adults, meaning that everyone in the family can be fitted with a SUP that’s perfect for them, regardless of their age, gender or level of experience.

Suited to flat watercruising yet versatile enough to take in the surf, the All Rounder features a specially designed fin to help keep the board stable, making it perfect for paddlers both young and old to develop their skills and increase their confidence on the water.  Meanwhile, a generous outline, balanced rocker and functional bottom contours allow young riders to generate forward acceleration with just a few easy strokes, while making turning and manouvering a breeze.

According to Mark Kelly, founder and director of Global Surf Industries, while stand up paddling is the perfect summer activity for the whole family, SUP equipment has always been exclusively designed for adults.  “Until now, kids interested in SUPing have been relegated to riding tandem with an adult, or attempting to manouvre a board and a paddle that are way too big for them,” he said.

“Just as you wouldn’t expect a child to go skiing using a pair of adult skis, you can now choose a SUP that is perfectly fitted to suit your child, based on their height and weight, ensuring that they can build their confidence, improve their skills and take part in a fantastic family activity.”

The Adventure Paddleboarding kids All Rounders are available in blue, green and purple, with two sizes available – 7’0’’ (RRP: $920) and 8’4’’ (RRP:  $1,000).  Adult sizes are also available in additional colours such as yellow and a natural bamboo finish, and range from 9’8’’ and 10’6” (RRP: $ 1,070) to 11’6’’ (RRP: $1,240).

Of course, no SUP experience is complete without a paddle, so GSI offers a wide range, with something for everyone in the family.  The Trident T371a Adjustable SUP Paddle (RRP: $244) is the perfect start-out paddle, that extends from 130cm to 170cm, so it can be adjusted as kids grow. Built with the same quality materials as the adult versions, the smaller Trident model allows junior paddlers to develop the correct technique right from their first paddle.
