New Zealand based ConfiTEX™ announces that it is seeking support for the release of its new underwear range through crowdfunding.

From today, people who experience incontinence, or want to support those who do, can donate to ConfiTEX to help fund their first production run. Confitex are offering a number of rewards for those who donate including receiving a free pair of underwear in their choice of colour, style, and size in limited edition signed packaging.

ConfiTEX is an innovative design company which has developed pioneering products for the incontinence market. ConfiTEX state of the art technology provides an effective and fashionable alternative to current disposable incontinence products - at the same time looking and feeling like regular, quality underwear.

“The limited edition packaging is colourful and vibrant which continues ConfiTEX’s aim of saying to those who experience incontinence that they no longer need to use medical utilitarian-looking products. ConfiTEX’s is offering high-end fashionable underwear products that look and feel like any other underwear whilst still being functional,” said Frantisek Riha-Scott, co-founder and Product Design & Development Manager. “With our crowdfunding and social media strategy we are reaching out to our target audience as many people choose to purchase incontinence products discretely online.”

Why highlight the issue of incontinence? “The percentage of people experiencing bladder control weakness is greater than most people realise,” said Mark Davey, co-founder and Business Development Manager. “It causes discomfort, hardship and stress to many, yet receives very little attention.  Over 1.1 million (25%) New Zealanders, over 4.8 million Australians, and in 2012 it has been estimated that over 115 million in the US experience incontinence”

ConfiTEX products are 100% biodegradable because they are manufactured from textiles – not plastics. By contrast, pads and nappies take hundreds of years to biodegrade and contain harmful chemicals.
