Air Tahiti Nui

Air Tahiti Nui is inviting New Zealand travellers to discover a side of Tahiti that’s more reminiscent of traditional Kiwi holidays.

A range of new packages offer accommodation in local guest houses, or pensions as they’re known in Tahiti, which, similar to a Kiwi bach, provide an opportunity for travellers to experience the islands’ million dollar views from a different perspective.

On sale until 30 April 2015, the packages start from just $1304* for five nights in a standard bungalow at Pension Hiti Moana Villa on Tahiti, return economy flights with Air Tahiti Nui from Auckland, transfers throughout and a black pearl per booking. Other deals include:

• Five nights in a garden bungalow at Pension Fare Miti on Moorea, two nights at Hotel Tahiti Nui, return economy flights with Air Tahiti Nui from Auckland, transfers throughout and a black pearl per booking from $1774*

• Five nights at surfer Kelly Slater’s favourite Tahitian pension – Vanira Lodge - in a standard bungalow including a one-off food credit, four days car rental with standard insurance and unlimited kilometres, return economy flights with Air Tahiti Nui from Auckland, transfers throughout and a black pearl per booking, priced from $1795*

• Five nights in a garden bungalow at Pension Papahani on Maupiti with daily breakfast and dinner, two nights at Hotel Tahiti Nui, return economy flights with Air Tahiti Nui from Auckland, transfers throughout including inter-island flights and a black pearl per booking from $2240*

Air Tahiti Nui General Manager Australia New Zealand Alan Roman said the deals represent a great opportunity for travellers to delve deeper into the Tahitian culture and enjoy an authentic Polynesian experience for less.

“Like Europe, Tahiti offers a range of “pensions” to suit different budgets. Often run by families and designed with a Polynesian feel, the guest house or B&B options are ideal for Kiwi travellers who are used to spending their holidays in a bach and will enjoy the more casual vibe on offer at a local Tahitian pension,” Mr Roman said.
