Rotorua's newest tourism venture opens with New Zealand's first purpose built Electric Skateboard Track

Based at the former site of Action New Zealand, Rotorua's newest tourism venture Fiik Action Adventures has opened its doors with New Zealand's first purpose-built electric skateboard track catering to adventurists and families alike.

Boasting a 9 hole short golf course, mountain biking, archery, knife throwing, rifle shooting, an events venue and the latest electric skateboarding craze to hit New Zealand, Fiik Action Adventures hopes to capitalize on Rotorua's multi-million dollar tourism industry.

Fiik Action Adventures Managing Director Joe Taute said the new venture was a way in which the family could extend its Fiik Electric Skateboard franchise into the New Zealand market and formed part of his families decision to return home to Rotorua after spending seven years living abroad.

“We've always been on the lookout for an opportunity to be involved in the local tourism industry; to do this in our home and the place in which tourism was founded in this country is something really special” he said

Visitors to the adventure park can experience a range of activities from mountain bike hire for use inside the nearby world renowned Whakarewarewa forest, a round of nine hole short golf or an exhilarating Fiik Electric Skateboard ride on New Zealand's first purpose built electric skateboard track.

Set amongst a natural forest outlook the site is also the perfect place to hold your next team building, school group or corporate event with its 180sqm tented and outdoor garden venue, fully licensed and catering for up to 100 persons.

Bayleys Realty Group Country Marketing Manager Stefanie Mills said the venue was the perfect fit for their recent sales conference held in Rotorua last month.

“Having activities and the finale dinner within the same venue proved to be a cost effective way in which we could engage with our regional sales force; the activities were fun and really brought the best out of them” she said

The adventure park plans to further develop its mountain bike offering to include daily guided half day tours through the from mid 2015 specifically targeting the international market.
Activity packages start at $25 per person with dining and activity packages starting at $55 per person
