Princess Cruises is inviting New Zealand guests to delve deeper into Alaska’s scenic wonderland in 2016, with six ships offering an array of itinerary options to the awe-inspiring “Great Land”.

Fares start from $1069** for the line’s signature Voyage of the Glaciers itinerary, offering unrivalled glacier-viewing opportunities, with Coral Princess, Star Princess and Island Princess all offering the scenic cruise between Whittier (Anchorage) and Vancouver.

Meanwhile, cruises through the Inside Passage, with its ever-changing scenery from picturesque shores to friendly coastal towns, start from $1119* for a seven-night Crown Princess cruise featuring Glacier Bay, departing May 6, 2016. In 2016, Ruby Princess and Crown Princess will sail the Inside Passage from Seattle, while Grand Princess will cruise from San Francisco.

As part of Princess’ immersive North to Alaska! program, during their cruise guests will experience expanded Alaska seafood offerings, featuring signature dishes from local chefs and restaurants, unique interactions with Alaskans including crabbers who appeared on Discovery’s Deadliest Catch and Iditarod winner Libby Riddles, and onboard events celebrating local history and customs such as the Klondike Gold Rush and Midnight Sun phenomenon.

Princess’ Alaska cruises can also be combined with a land tour providing a flexible way for travellers to further explore the region’s magnificent interior.  All land and sea holiday packages include a seven-night Voyage of the Glaciers cruise, with multiple days on land including accommodation at the cruise line’s premier wilderness lodges, luxurious Direct to the Wilderness domed rail service and visits to the top two attractions in Alaska, Glacier Bay National Park and Denali National Park. A 10-night Denali Explorer cruisetour, departing May 21, 2016, visiting Mt McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge and Fairbanks is priced from $1749* per person twin share.

Princess will offer guests more than 20 add-on land tour options in 2016, most featuring multiple nights in the Denali area to fully enjoy the wonder of Mt McKinley. For the first time, guests will also be able to purchase a pre-paid meal package for the land portion of their cruisetour.

Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said Princess continued to build on its long-standing recognition as the best Alaska cruise operator with compelling ways to see and experience all the region has to offer.

“There’s simply no better way to see Alaska’s glaciers, wildlife and national parks than from the perspective of our spectacular ships, exclusive rail service and Princess-owned wilderness lodges,” Mr Allison said.
