2015 marks the 30 anniversary of the first Barossa Gourmet Weekend and this year’s program promises to deliver the most exciting and mouth-watering Barossa Gourmet Weekend yet.

Over 30 of the region’s finest food and wine purveyors are showcased in the third weekend in August. There are a number of ticketed events including masterclasses, long lunches and dinners as well as the traditional Winery Days offering heart-warming food, premium Barossa wine and live entertainment.

The three day festival will be a true feast for the senses, with food and wine experiences, family fun days, markets, long lunches, cooking classes and wine master-classes being just some of the highlights.

“This year’s Barossa Gourmet Weekend provides an amazing window into the rich food and wine culture of the Barossa. From big winery celebration days to bespoke, intimate events, Gourmet Weekend offers something to suit all tastes and ages” explains Cathy Wills, Regional Tourism Manager - Tourism Barossa Incorporated.

As in previous years, the Barossa welcomes the whole family with many wineries providing activities and menus specifically for children.

A designated driver program and bus loops are also available and it is recommended to book early accommodation if you plan to make a weekend of it.

If you’re a wine enthusiast, foodie, family or just looking for a great time with live entertainment you can’t miss your chance to immerse yourself in the flavours of the Barossa.

There truly is something for everyone at the 2015 Barossa Gourmet Weekend.

Full program available mid/late June.
