Vitalité – it’s certainly tempting.  Especially right after winter!  We all need dynamism, energy and enthusiasm to burst into a heart-warming new season: the name perfectly conveys the mission of a perfume whose main aim is, as always, to offer harmony and greater well-being.
 
Valeur Absolue continues to grow its strong fan base and this sixth masterpiece is an ode to beautiful days, with uplifting and harmonising peridot minerals in the bottle.  The perfume is bursting with positive energy, just like these peridots, which help release blockages and have a balancing action on the emotions, whilst also promoting happiness.  And there’s definitely plenty of happiness in Vitalité, thanks to the inclusion of vitamin-rich fruits like citrus, plus acerola from Brazil, which is packed full of Vitamin C and its juice is used to combat fatigue.  Together with Buchu leaves from South Africa, the perfume also contains bitter orange.
 


A multi-layered perfume

“We wanted to translate the energy that is implicit in Spring, with the inclusion of crisp, zingy green notes; notes that interpret the soft murmuring of beautiful days, but with a trail that’s worthy of fine perfumery,” explains Marie-Aude Bluche, the creative director of the Valeur Absolue collection.  So, the perfume has freshness, but also sensuality, with a heart of magnolia, and a pure, chypré base, with a combination of Indonesian patchouli and China tea.  Leaves and fruits, like the super fruit energy boosters that we enjoy for breakfast, have been subtly interwoven into the composition.  Valeur Absolue has also included oligo-elements (magnesium, potassium) and an extract of the Immortelle flower, chosen for its ability to stimulate the release of beta-endorphines, the ‘happiness’ molecules.  As with all Valeur Absolue perfumes, these elements contribute, more than ever, to make Vitalité an elixir of happiness.
