Announcing Summer Festivals In New Zealand and Australia

Wanderlust, the ever expanding global yoga lifestyle brand is announcing its next four day festivals will be held both in New Zealand and Australia— Wanderlust will be returning to the Wairakei Thermal Valley, Great Lake Taupo NZ for Waitangi Weekend (New Zealand’s national holiday) and will follow-up two weeks later with a new festival location at NSW’s Thredbo Alpine Village; on the slopes of Australia’s highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko.
 
As an experience that gets into your mind, body and soul, the festivals will bring together a remarkable group of yoga and meditation instructors, speakers, artists and chefs for a transformational retreat in awe-inspiring natural resorts. Also an exciting lineup of musical performers will be showcased at each festival; the first headliner for Wanderlust Great Lake Taupo has just been announced as the great Thievery Corporation, the first time the legendary full live band will play in New Zealand.
 
Thievery Corporation, who recently headlined Wanderlust Squaw Valley CA, has become known for the carnival-esque atmosphere of their live shows, during which they bring out a 15-member live band of musicians and vocalists. Described as an extravagant celebration of music, the eclectic assembly of performers is acclaimed for their genre bending fusion of bossa nova, reggae, trip hop, dub, acid jazz and electronica. Festival Director Jonnie Halstead says “Thievery Corporation personifies what Wanderlust is all about – the perfect fusion of conscious, cutting-edge music with a nod to eastern culture, and a great time!”
 
Both festivals’ full lineups of presenters and performers will be announced as tickets go on-sale September 30th.
