After 10 years of enhancing New Zealand homes with their unique scents, Ashley & Co continues to redefine the home and body space, this time taking a fresh look at product design and packaging to reflect their status as a modern day scent company.

The new designs elevate the brand’s modern and timeless aesthetic by pairing back the overall look and focusing on the details and quality that matter.  The new packaging relies on a gritty tactile finish with pressed graphics, noticeably clearer product identification and the introduction of scent icons. Obsessed with hidden detail, the opening of an Ashley & Co box has become a process that will surprise with every rip, tear and fold. New functionality in the form of a rigid box liner for all glass products has added durability and ‘safe’ shipping for products that certainly deserve the extra care and protection!

Inside the box, Ashley & Co’s Home Perfume bottles are now produced in amber glass, complemented by black diffuser reeds and a non-slip silicon sleeve. Ashley & Co’s company ethos continues to adhere to ensuring their products work in any environment and suit any style.

Customers will also notice a new PET WashUp bottle. Designed by Ashley & Co the bottle is embossed with their logotype and messaging ‘ENHANCE YOUR EVERYDAY’ reminding us to make the most of our everyday moments and connect with the present. A matching 1 litre TopUp bottle will soon follow suit.

The inspiration for the redesign came about from a desire to present a more cohesive product range that captures the essence of their brand, recognising Ashley & Co as an original lifestyle brand, rather than a gift-shop go-to.

Ashley & Co founder, Jackie Ashley says “The new packaging is partly an evolution but also comes at a very exciting time for us at Ashley & Co. We believe it now resembles who we are and the way we do things, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Jackie explains, “Our products have come about one at a time, so the packaging has, at times, looked quite different between products. This time we were able to take a step back and develop the range as a whole – with a stricter design brief.”

The rafts of changes come after careful consideration based on customer feedback, brand strategy review and continued business growth. It was also essential that structurally, the new cartons were not only lighter, but also strengthened for export.

The new range was extremely well received at the Melbourne Gift Fair in August, and as a result, Ashley & Co has secured around 50 new Australian retailers.

Ashley & Co Sales Director, Jeremy Scott, says “With all the change that has been undertaken, it helps us to prepare for the export market. By taking ownership of and streamlining our supply chain, we can look at our international exporting opportunities with confidence.”

Ashley & Co’s new packaging is being progressively rolled out starting October 1st, nationwide.
