Auckland’s Echo Music Festival has released its daily schedule with The Flaming Lips headlining on Monday 11 January and Disclosure closing out the festival on Tuesday 12 January.

Echo Festival takes place across the two days at Vector Arena with the family-friendly event featuring more than 35 music acts across three stages.

Gates open each day at 2pm and the music gets underway at 3pm. As well as using the main indoor stage and the intimate Tuning Fork venue, Echo Festival will open out into the adjacent open-air surrounds including the Mahuhu Ki Te Rangi Reserve to provide a street festival atmosphere. Outdoors will host the festival's second stage, art installations, markets, sumptuous food stalls and chill-out zones.

The line-up on Monday 11 January includes Jamie xx, Courtney Barnett, Elliphant, The Chills, Young Fathers, David Dallas, Kirin J. Callinan and Marlon Williams.

Tuesday 12 January will feature Alison Wonderland, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Mac De Marco, The Preatures, C.W Stoneking, The Datsuns, Avalanche City and Tiny Ruins.

Festival director Paxton Talbot says the final touches are being added to the site plan and as well as the music, there will be art installations, live art including painting and graffiti, body and face painting, and some magical experiences during the night.

"We're creating something very special at Vector Arena. It will be like nothing that’s been seen at this venue before.”
