Following on an enthusiastic reception among elite and amateur endurance athletes, and building on strong sales in Australia and New Zealand, Revvies Energy Strips is expanding into the U.K. The company’s caffeinated mouth strips, which are ultra convenient and easy to use, have proven the fast favorite caffeine delivery system for world-class professional athletes in triathlon and distance running, as well as among amateur athletes.

Revvies samplers were almost overrun at last weekend’s “Big Husky” Triathlon Festival, one of Australia’s most iconic multi-sport events, with athletes eager to sample the quick and convenient energy strips firsthand. The incredible turnout followed an equally strong reception at the 2015 Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival, shoring up Revvies’ reputation as the caffeine delivery system of choice for discerning athletes. Next on the Revvies event schedule is Challenge Bateman’s Bay (9-10 April), where brand ambassador Pip Taylor will toe the line in the women’s professional race.

Taylor, a renowned sports nutrition expert and research and development advisor to Revvies, extolls the numerous virtues of the portable energy strips. “My use of Revvies is multi-fold,” says Taylor. “As an athlete, they allow me to precisely time my caffeine intake. They’re so small and easy to carry, and they quickly dissolve on the tongue without any need for water. I’m never without Revvies in training or racing. They help me as a mum as well, as I’m constantly on the go (and often sleep-deprived) whilst chasing after my two little ones. I’m sure any parent can relate to the need for an added energy boost, and Revvies Energy Strips make it so easy to find that extra oomph.”

A recent addition to the Revvies ambassador family is Olympic distance runner Eloise Wellings, proving that the caffeinated energy strips are a hit with triathletes and runners alike. Named 2015 Distance Runner of the Year by Run For Your Life Magazine, Wellings was the first woman named to the Australian team heading to the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, where she hopes to compete in both the 10K and 5K events. Wellings was introduced to Revvies Energy Strips in 2015, offering this endorsement after testing the product during training sessions with Runlab:

“I’ve been trialing these little wonder strips in training for weeks. Revvies do what they say they do. Fast, convenient, caffeinated energy.”

In addition to the product’s proven efficacy, its accreditation through the Informed-Sport quality assurance program is of great appeal to athletes. The Informed-Sport status ensures that every batch of Revvies Energy Strips is tested for WADA banned substances prior to reaching consumers. Revvies was only the second Australian company and the first in New Zealand to achieve this important recognition.

With a powerful foundation in place due to the brand’s success in Australia and New Zealand, Revvies is now focused on rolling out into the U.K’s fast growing sports nutrition market. Revvies has already linked with major cycling retailer Halfords, making their product available through halfords.com, with additional deals nearing finalization.
