The popular Mayor’s Music Matinee series kicks off again on Friday (May 6) when the New Zealand Chamber Soloists take centre stage at a free lunchtime performance in the city.

The concert series is jointly organised by Waikato University’s Conservatorium of Music and the Council. Entry is free although gold coin donations are welcome and will go towards the purchase of a fortepiano for the Conservatorium.

Each recital showcases some of the Conservatorium’s music students, along with performances by staff and visiting musicians.
