Niue Tourism welcomes news of Scenic Matavai expansion

The announcement that the tender for the Scenic Matavai expansion has been awarded to
Arrow Construction is great news for Niue Island according to Niue Tourism Chief Executive
Felicity Bollen.

“We look forward to welcoming them back on island after the fantastic job they did of our
new primary school, the Scenic Matavai expansion will also mean we can better meet one of
our growing markets,” says Niue Tourism Chief Executive Felicity Bollen.

Not only will there be twelve extra rooms added to Scenic Matavai, but a much needed
purpose-built conference centre too. That will support the growing business event market in
Niue, which includes meetings, incentive trips, conferences and events for visitors and niche
groups alike.

“This market is a critical part of the Niue Tourism Strategy and we will continue to work
closely with Scenic Matavai and our other operators on island to encourage these groups to
choose Niue as their preferred destination,” says Mrs Bollen.
