The Art Deco Trust and Napier City Council are working together at TRENZ, the largest international trade event on the New Zealand tourism industry calendar.

TRENZ is being held in Rotorua this week. It brings together New Zealand tourism businesses with
buyers from New Zealand major and emerging visitor markets that come to purchase accommodation, transport and activities at wholesale rates and include them in brochures and itineraries for the forthcoming seasons.

The Trust and Council are among 300 leading providers of activities, attractions, visitor accommodation and transport showcasing their products and services to 270 high quality, targeted international travel and tourism buyers from 30 countries such as Australia, UK, USA, China and Japan. TRENZ also features a substantial international and domestic media programme, promoting New Zealand as a visitor destination as well as the economic importance of the country’s tourism industry.

Over four days of focused business-to-business activity, attendees will be negotiating business agreements for forthcoming seasons, to ensure New Zealand’s $9.3 billion export tourism industry continues to grow.

The Trust and Council will meet with a range of buyers and media, and have 52 appointments between them. Taking into account the number of appointments confirmed by Hawke’s Bay Tourism, Gannet Adventures and Gannet Safaris, which are also attending TRENZ, buyers and media will have more 200 opportunities to hear more about Hawke’s Bay.
