Still only 22, Jake wrote all eleven songs, played most of the instruments, and produced most of On My One (Jacknife Lee produced three of the tracks including ‘Love, Hope and Misery’). The new single is one of the standout tracks from the album and could not be more different from its upbeat, garage-pop-predecessor, ‘Gimme The Love’.

“I wanted something with an epic pop chorus because I hadn’t done anything like that before. Along the lines of Harry Nilsson, or Bill Withers.” Jake says. “The best thing was we actually got in Bill Withers’ drummer, James Gadson. He’s my favourite drummer so to have him playing on this record was a personal highlight.”

Following the incredible success of his first two albums, the double platinum 2012 debut Jake Bugg and the top five 2013 follow-up Shangri La, this new record firmly asserts Jake as one of Britain’s most exciting young talents.
