John Newman, owner of one of the most distinctive voices in Pop music; writer and performer of some of the biggest anthems (including three UK #1  singles); and one of the major breakthrough artists in the UK in recent years, follows his recent Sigala / Nile Rodgers collaboration with his brand new single - ‘Olé’.

The track, co-written and produced by friend and regular creative partner Calvin Harris, is like nothing John or Calvin has done before. The very definition of earworm, ‘Olé’ is one of those rare songs that, once heard, remains lodged in your brain and you find yourself singing over and over again.

John has been back in the public eye, on both sides of the Atlantic, with a headlining performance at Coachella alongside Calvin (& Rihanna) where they performed their number 1 hit ‘Blame’, and an appearance at Capital Summertime ball with Sigala for a live outing of  ‘Give Me Your Love’.
‘Olé’ marks the beginning of a flurry of new music from John, including a second collaboration with Calvin for the superstar DJ’s new album. John has been busy in the studio writing and recording new music following the release of 2015’s acclaimed Revolve, which was the follow-up to his platinum selling #1 debut album, Tribute. Both albums and attendant hit singles including ‘Love Me Again’ and ‘Come & Get It’, established the Yorkshire-man  as one of the UK’s most singular talents and consistently successful  artists.

Global smash ‘Blame’, which has sold over 4 million worldwide, gave John his third UK #1 single following Rudimental’s ‘Feel The Love’ and his own chart-topping debut ‘Love Me Again’.

Indeed, Newman has sold over 6 million singles worldwide to date.

Vevo/Youtube video plays stand at a rudely healthy 380 million, while John’s social stats are equally impressive with almost 1.9 million fans on Facebook, 400k Twitter followers and over 220k followers on Instagram.

Expect to see plenty of John in the coming months - and to be humming/singing /whistling ‘Olé’ involuntarily.
