One of the world’s largest accounting bodies, CPA Australia, has thrown its weight behind Netball New Zealand becoming the Official Accounting Membership Partner.

CPA Australia chief executive Alex Malley says he is proud to support Netball in New Zealand.

“This is a very exciting development between us and Netball New Zealand and I’m looking forward to the new competition and putting our weight behind a great Kiwi institution,” he says.

Netball NZ chief executive Jennie Wyllie said she is delighted to welcome CPA Australia to the Netball family.

“We are delighted to welcome the team at CPA Australia to the Netball family in what is a very exciting time to be involved in the sport in New Zealand,” Wyllie said.

“CPA Australia joins a growing list of partners who are committing their support to Netball and we look forward to working with them.”

As part of the partnership, an internship with Netball New Zealand’s finance team is offered to CPA Australia student ambassador, Priya Sharma.

Alex Malley said the CPA Program is all about providing people with the skills to be leaders in their field and stand out in the real world.

“We want to empower students by giving them the best opportunities across accounting, finance and business and working with Netball New Zealand’s finance team will be a great career experience for Priya,” Malley said.

Priya Sharma said she was excited by the opportunity to work with Netball New Zealand, attend the games and meet some of the great women involved in the sport.
