Red Bull Illume Photo Book available now!

The winners of the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2016 were celebrated in Chicago, USA on September 28, 2016. To commemorate the occasion, a thoughtfully designed hardback collectors’ item, the Red Bull Illume Coffee Table Book, was created to eternalize these outstanding images and the talents behind the lens.

It showcases the 275 semifinalist images of this year’s contest, as well as it highlights the finalists’ biographies, their stories behind the shot and the technical details. In addition, the book includes a fine-art print of Lorenz Holder’s overall winning shot.
 

 

There are only 5,000 copies of this edition, each individually numbered. Priced at $59.95 and available world-wide, it’s the perfect gift for any photography enthusiast – while also being an excellent source of inspiration.

The Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2016 saw 5.645 photographers from 120 countries submitting a record-breaking 34.624 images. A judging panel of 53 photo editors selected 55 finalists, 11 Category Winners and one Overall Winner, which were unveiled at the Red Bull Illume Winner Award Ceremony on September 28, 2016 in Chicago, USA. German photographer Lorenz Holder took the top spot for the second time running with his atmospheric shot of athlete Senad Grosic riding his BMX across a bridge in autumnal Germany.

All finalist images will travel across the world until mid 2018 as part of the Red Bull Illume Exhibit Tour - a unique nighttime outdoor photo exhibition.
