Jump the gun on your 2017 fitness goals thanks to adidas who are offering Aucklanders the opportunity to be part of a global running community via its new look running group, adidas Runners Auckland. The re-brand of its running club coincides with the launch of the adidas Runners Training Programme, offering free run coaching and group runs in the lead up to the 2017 Ports of Auckland Round the Bays event.
adidas’ existing popular RunClub is joining the global adidas Runners community that brings together likeminded people across the world for unique running experiences, so they can achieve their goals to become better runners as part of a healthy and successful lifestyle.
Now known as adidas Runners Auckland, the free running club meets every Tuesday 6pm at Platinum Sports Co., Victoria Park Market and caters for a variety of different running levels and distances.
Following the Tuesday night run, the club offers runners regular social events and guest speaker sessions, with past speakers at the club including fitness, wellness and nutrition experts and adidas athletes like All Black Sonny Bill Williams and Olympian Rose Keddell.
To fine tune your running skills ahead of the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays race on 5th March, the running club is offering a three-week training programme in the lead up to the event.
The three week programme includes two running sessions per week, with group runs at the Tuesday evening sessions, plus an additional weekly running coaching session on Saturday mornings at 9am in Victoria Park, Auckland City on Saturday 11th, 18th and 25th February. There will also be spot prizes at the Saturday training sessions for runners who wear adidas running shoes.
