Suicides, school and workplace bullying, single parenting, workplace, drugs, unemployment, and some other behaviours can be reduced by improvements to individuals' self esteem. Research confirms this and attitude specialist Janice Davies is taking action! Sick of hearing negativity it's about people taking responsibility and believing they can 'DO' something to better themselves.

Driven by her life mission and desire to make a difference, Davies, has created the annual international Self Esteem Day recently renamed Selfday, to be celebrated this month on June the 29th.

The charitable non-profit organization invites people to engage in activities to boost their own self esteem, (by treating themselves) another person's self-esteem (by giving a compliments) and one community activities (picking up a piece of rubbish). She also provides websites with ideas, tips, free -courses and webinars on a wide range of topics.

Everyone wants to be loved and be successful, but people need to learn what to do, starting with believing in themselves and capabilities. It starts from birth and is a life long learning process. In this climate people may need to learn to re-believe in themselves and remind themselves they may not have caused the event even though they are experiencing and challenged by it.

She had to take her own advice after business challenges caused by the recession and when she collapsed and died on 6th October 2010. Her interest and passion about self esteem stems from high school bullying getting her off track in life for 20 years before she discovered her self esteem had been dented because of it and 16 years as a single parent.

She's walks her talk by now employing a former unemployed youth to help her spread the self esteem and positive attitude message, online and globally.

Janice taps into another avenue to spread the self esteem word globally with a group of dynamic online businesses also committed to expanding the self nurture message plus with the help of national media, Selfday is continuing to gain momentum and encourage awareness.

Davies shares from over 20 years of working with groups and individuals teaching self empowerment, from Playcentre groups to corporate companies.

This year Janice has organized the following:
