Innovative New Zealand wine brand Dusky Sounds has today revealed a stylish packaging refresh, further enhancing its appeal to Kiwi wine drinkers.

The Dusky Sounds range, which offers affordable and reliable wines made in a fresh, approachable style, is aimed at house pour listings in restaurants. With Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Merlot varietals available, Dusky Sounds captures the essence of New Zealand and appeals to consumers who appreciate quality wine without the hefty price tag.

Marketing Manager, Cathy Wansink, says Dusky Sound is a unique and magical place, with geography that gives rise to a mystical quality unlike anywhere in the world.

"The design evolution for the Dusky Sounds packaging reflects the personality and emotion of the brand, through imagery of Dusky Sound itself. When Captain Cook explored the region he was captivated by the bird life, and the place names within the fiord testify to this love affair," says Wansink.

"Dusky Sounds is a brand that represents a smart, sophisticated style without being too high end. The fact that the illustration is not completely obvious adds intrigue and mystery to the Dusky Sounds brand, which reflects the character of Dusky Sounds.

The condensed stack font is a reminder of the current label design, while the introduction of a dark blue font complements and balances the black capsule," says Wansink.

The Dusky Sounds range is available through independent retailers and is distributed in New Zealand by Waipara Hills distributor, Hancocks.
