With the London Olympic Games now only a few months away, the Millennium Institute of Sport and Health and AUT Millennium are running an Olympic Experience Event on Wednesday 9th May 2012. The event will feature members of the team for London and the Samsung Experience Truck, a multimedia mobile Olympic experience.

The event will run from 3pm to 7pm and will see athletes from NZ Swimming, Bike NZ, and Hockey NZ in attendance, who will be in training in the High Performance NZ Strength and Conditioning area along with signing autographs and meeting with the public. New Zealand Olympic Weightlifting will also be running training demonstrations as they embark on their Olympic qualifier later this month.

Furthermore this event will provide media opportunities with athletes and coaching staff along with an opportunity for a post event interview with AUT Millennium CEO and NZOC Chairman Mike Stanley.

Millennium is also proud to announce that the 18 meter long Samsung Experience Truck will be onsite during the event. The Experience Truck features a range of digital experiences aimed at getting New Zealanders involved and excited for the 2012 Games. There is a chance to wear an Olympic gold medal and touch and see Danyon Loader's Atlanta Gold medal. The Experience Truck will also contain Olympic memorabilia including the shoes worn by the iconic Peter Snell in the lead up to the 1964 Tokyo Games.
