Skins™compression garments will receive an added boast in profile in New Zealand with the recent appointment of a new Global Brand Director.

New Zealand agent for Skins™, David Watt of Brandex, said the appointment was great news for the business in New Zealand.

“The newly created role of a Global Brand Director will mean the brand will have even more focus and energy behind it that will take it from a very successful Australasian brand to a world renowned brand – it’s very exciting for everyone involved.”

“More global emphasis on the marketing of the product will mean a much stronger brand profile worldwide that will have huge impact on recognition and sales in New Zealand.”

“We are working hard on our strategy for growing the brand in New Zealand and are proud of how well known and respected the brand is here,” Watt said.

Stefan Vollbach has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Brand Director. He was most recently International Director of Marketing & Sales at multinational sports company HEAD.

The German native has recently completed a tour of Skins™ international operations, including Australia where the company was founded, and he is looking forward to the challenge of continuing to expand the success of the world’s first and leading compression wear company.

“Skins™ has been a very successful company and has built a credible reputation among athletes and physiotherapists, resulting in a high demand for its high quality compression wear products. Our next challenge is to ensure that all types of exercisers and sports players understand the scientific benefits of Skins™ - the only rigorously tested compression gear on the market,” Mr Vollbach said.

Jaime Fuller, CEO of Skins™ believes Stefan’s appointment will take the company to the next level.

“By hiring Stefan Vollbach, we have succeeded in obtaining a key player in the sporting goods industry. He will manage the top brand and marketing department at Skins™ and next year will work from the new global headquarters in Switzerland," said Mr Fuller.

About Skins™
In 1996 Skins™ embarked on a massive challenge to create a sports garment that aids recovery and improves performance. Skins™ invested heavily in research to make it happen and ensure that all claims can be specifically proven beyond question.

Many of the large international sporting apparel companies have tried to copy Skins™ but their approach has differed. These global apparel companies have simply used the value of their logo to introduce lookalike product. Some companies with no brand are trying to use Skins™ therapeutic proof as a launching pad to give credibility to untested and unproven products. The fact remains that tests proving Skins benefits cannot be referred to by any other garment, as Skins engineered gradient compression remains unique.

Skins™ continues to make their number one focus research and development in order to improve, rigorously test and expand the range of products. This is why Skins™ are the only compression garment endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the compression garment favoured by so many of Australia and New Zealand’s top athletes and sporting teams.
