Europcar has announced a sponsorship of CyclePower 2013, a Disability Sport and
Recreation (DSR) event that will be staged in Fiji from 6 to 16 June 2013.

CyclePower is an intrepid fundraising initiative, combining the challenge of long-distance
cycling with a chance to make a tangible contribution to projects that provide sport and
recreation opportunities for people with a disability.

This year’s CyclePower will see 16 participants with and without a disability ride 550km over
ten days across Fiji’s main island, Vitu Levu. The challenge follows successful events in
Vietnam in 2011 and Cambodia in 2012.

Europcar’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Mike Warmington, said the company was
delighted to help DSR reach its fundraising goal to support Victorians with a disability to
participate in sport and recreation.

“All of us here at Europcar are really excited to be a jersey sponsor for this year’s
CyclePower – it’s a great cause and an admirable challenge for all involved,” Mr Warmington
said.

Europcar has supported DSR since 2012, providing DSR and its members with discounted
vehicle rental across Europcar’s fleet, which includes wheelchair friendly vehicles. The offering follows an Australian first partnership between Europcar and Automobility Pty Ltd that enables Europcar to offer Kia Grand Carnival wheelchair accessible vehicles in their rental fleet.

“Providing flexible travel solutions to all our customers is extremely important to Europcar; we
pride ourselves in delivering practical products and services for customers to meet their
diverse and unique needs,” Mr Warmington said.

“Europcar is the only vehicle rental car company to offer wheelchair accessible vehicles,
providing a much needed transport solution for people with a disability.

“We also have a long history of partnerships with cycling events, domestically and around the
globe, so our partnership with DSR’s CyclePower was a perfect fit.”

DSR is the health-promoting peak organisation for the disability sport and recreation sector in
Victoria, providing and promoting positive health outcomes through participation in sport and
recreation for Victorians with disability.

DSR’s Chief Executive Officer, Rob Anderson, said, “Europcar is a progressive and inclusive
organisation and we’re excited to have them on board to support our adaptive cycling
challenge.

“CyclePower brings a unique opportunity to demonstrate the ability of people with a disability,
while supporting programs to help Victorians with disability get active,” Mr Anderson said.
