The voting has closed, the numbers have been tallied and a winner has triumphantly emerged. After scouring the country over the past month, New Zealand’s Best Bikkie from the Griffin’s range has been found.

And the winner is **drumroll please** …Griffin’s ToffeePops!

Yes the humble yet indulgent and delicious ToffeePop has taken out the coveted title for the first time in the competition’s three year existence. So grab your cuppa and a bikkie, it’s time to celebrate!

The incumbent winner for the past two years, Cookie Bear Hundreds and Thousands, was once again right up there in votes with a number of other Kiwi favourites pushing hard for a podium finish.

Cookie Bear, says; “Sometimes that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, I’ll be back next year, Dum-Dee-Doo!”

James Clark, from Griffin’s NZ, says: “New Zealanders came out in force to vote for their favourite Griffin’s biscuit with over 6600 votes in total, it was a tight race but in the end there could only be one champion.”

“It’s good to see a new winner emerge and perhaps a changing of the guard. It’s a funny old thing with bikkies, everyone has their favourites and we’ve seen and heard some fairly serious debates across the country about what people like most. We really are a nation of passionate biscuit lovers and this year the frilly edged biscuit, with a layer of smooth toffee and covered in creamy milk chocolate has taken it out.”

1st:   ToffeePops (16%)
