ASICS Makes TOP IMPACT With Revolutionary New Range

For serious athletes the tiniest detail can improve performance – and that’s what ASICS’ new Top Impact Line offers.

All garments in the new range launched this month feature revolutionary inbuilt construction, designed to help stabilise the core of the body, maximise muscle function and ultimately result in a better performance.

Kelly Houliston from ASICS says the range uses advanced technology, based on detailed analysis of skin and muscle movement during exercise.

“This includes ‘Core Balance’ technology, to stabilise the core of the body and maximise muscle function; ‘Leg Balance’ to support and stabilise leg movement and enhance mobility; and ‘Inner Muscle’ technology to improve movements, posture and breathing,” says Kelly.

The range’s special Core Balance tights stabilise the position of the pelvis during sport, by correcting alignment. A special belt construction at the hip in the tight pushes the pelvis into an upright position, which in turn stimulates the muscles around the pelvis to maximise motion activity.

“Extensive testing shows a speed increase by 0.5% when wearing Core Balance tights, and running at the same speed gets significantly easier too,” adds Kelly.

The Leg Balance technology also features in the tights, consisting of three high-elastic areas to support and stabilise the leg. This includes lateral support down the outside of the leg, thigh support around the thigh to prevent vibration, and shank support.

The Inner Muscle technology is at the heart of Top Impact Line’s training tops which are designed to stabilise the shoulder joint, around the upper arm bone and the scapula, allowing muscles to move the upper arm more smoothly and with less energy. It also contributes to a natural shoulder blade position and straighter back-spine position.

The Top Impact Line uses ASICS Premium Dry fabric, which readily absorbs and evaporates perspiration, maintaining a dry and comfortable inner environment.
