Universal Music New Zealand and Serendipity Touring are proud to announce a concert by the world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli in August, 2008.  

The multi-Platinum selling artist will perform his much-loved classical repertoire which recently saw him play to a capacity audience at New York’s Madison Square Gardens.
 

Conductor Maestro Marcello Rota will accompany him, along with the esteemed Czech National Symphony Orchestra, soprano Ms Paola Sanguinetti, baritone Gianfranco Montresor, with additional special guests to be announced. Fans of his massive pop hits will not be disappointed, with the promise of some surprise duets during the concerts.

Hailed as one of the world’s most gifted vocalists, Andrea Bocelli has sold over 60 million CDs worldwide. Vivere: The Best of Bocelli, was released November 2007 and peaked at No. 4 on the NZ Album charts and sold platinum in NZ. Andrea Bocelli in Concert will mark the tenor’s first time touring to New Zealand.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster now and a portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Asia Pacific Business Coalition on AIDS. APBCA Chairperson, Margaret Jackson said “ticket buyers will not only be investing their money into an extraordinary concert experience, but will be helping APBCA’s work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.”
