Triathlon Lines Up With Sunscreen Partner
Triathlon New Zealand today announced a new partnership with sunscreen supplier Hawaiian Tropic SPORT.
In announcing the new relationship, Tri NZ Commercial Director Carl Jackson said it was a perfect fit for both parties.
“Our sport is primarily a summer one and is often focused on some of the more popular holiday destinations around New Zealand, indeed the world.
“Through this partnership we are able to encourage a healthy understanding of how best to prevent long term issues caused by our harsh summers through the consistent use of Hawaiian Tropic SPORT sunscreen, a robust and proven sports product ideal for the New Zealand environment.”
Hawaiian Tropic SPORT Marketing Manager Andre de Beer said the sport was an obvious one to associate with.
“An association with Triathlon New Zealand synergizes unique brand attributes showcasing Hawaiian Tropic SPORT in the best context. The healthy, active and fun lifestyle promoted by Tri NZ and the fact it is New Zealand’s fastest growing sport (Nielsens survey 2009) is ideal for our brand.

The Hawaiian Tropic SPORT range is new to New Zealand and will be available through all supermarkets this summer. Tri NZ will showcase the product at all events throughout the summer, including the Contact Tri Series and TriWoman Series events.
