The New Zealand designed and built Frogz White Water Sledging is now a Qualmark endorsed activity, reinforcing the company’s professional standards.

Qualmark is the official mark of quality for tourism in New Zealand. Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Activities have each undergone a detailed onsite quality assessment and are found to be both professional and trustworthy.

General Manager Neil Harrison said the official stamp of quality provides re-assurance to all adventure sport enthusiasts.

“We have more than 18 years experience in the business of white water sledging and this endorsement recognises the quality of our activity.”

Frogz White Water Sledging and its sister company, Serious Fun Riversurfing, are the only water boarding operators in Queenstown to have Qualmark Activity Endorsement.

“We constantly strive to improve our customers experience and this endorsement recognises our efforts to bring professionalism and excellence to this activity,” said Mr Harrison.

White water sledging began in the French Alps in the late 1970’s when an ambitious Frenchman floated downstream through river rapids lying on bags filled with lifejackets and polystyrene. In 1981 the first sledge or ‘hydrospeed’ was built making it a recognised sport.

Frogz White Water Sledging uses specially designed river sledges providing the best way to get up close and personal with the white water in the Southern Lakes region.
