Locals and visitors will soon be able to be pampered from head to toe in the comfort of their own home or hotel room with the launch of Queenstown's first fully mobile massage and spa service.

The Mobile Massage Company, which has been operating in Queenstown for seven years and is the resort's original in-room massage provider, is expanding into spa treatments from Friday 1 August.

Qualified and experienced therapists will bring new benefits to the massage table with relaxing and revitalising 30 minute mini facials, 'feet treat' and 'heads up' hair and scalp treatment being added to the range of massages already available.

The Mobile Massage Company director Chris MacKenzie believes that the introduction of the new seven day a week 'wellbeing service' will provide greater flexibility and convenience to locals and visitors.

"The mobile spa treatments add a whole new dimension to our business," he said.

"Expanding our services is really a natural progression to ensure our clients are left feeling relaxed and revitalised in mind, body and soul and we're looking at introducing even more treatments in the future.

"As a mobile service we offer complete flexibility and convenience for our wide range of clients. We can generally have a therapist to a client within an hour, which is great for those who need a pick-me-up straight away rather than having to wait for an appointment and getting themselves to a salon.

"We also offer a purpose-built, portable massage chair to bring the benefits of massage to any workplace, conference or event. A number of businesses bring us in as a thank you to their staff or office workers often club together to hire us for an hour. A 10 to 15 minute massage increases circulation, eases tension and is incredibly rejuvenating, particularly when you're sitting at a computer all day."
