Healthy ice cream? Not an oxymoron, when you have a yonanas machine!

We’re all trying to reduce our intake of refined sugar and artificial ingredients, and nutritionists advise that we eat more natural, whole foods. But when the sun’s out, it’s hard to resist a bowlful of cold, creamy, sugar-laden ice cream.

Now you can have the best of both worlds: a yonanas machine turns frozen fruit and other healthy whole foods into a deliciously creamy frozen treat that looks and tastes like soft serve ice cream!

But unlike traditional soft serve, yonanas has no hidden nasties, preservatives or added sugar to worry about. Just the natural goodness of fruit, packed with vitamins and minerals, for a seriously healthy frozen treat.

The yonanas machine works by using a special blade system to churn frozen fruit into the smoothest, most ice cream-like texture imaginable. Creamy fruits like bananas and mango produce creamy yonanas, while juicier fruits like watermelon or pineapple produce a yonanas that’s just like sorbet.

But you can include more than just fruit alone - try freezing coconut milk and LSA in an ice cube tray and blend with frozen banana using your yonanas machine. Finish with a squeeze of lemon over the top and garnish with coconut shavings – the zingy lemon and smooth coconut is like a tropical getaway on a plate!

Easy to pack up and take to the bach and simple to clean, yonanas is the perfect healthy summer treat.

yonanas machines are available from Farmers, Briscoes and Mitre 10 stores this summer, RRP $99.99.

Note:
The World Health Organisation has prepared a draft report recommending we consume no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar per day.
