The quest to find New Zealand's Best Milkshake is on!

A great milkshake is a Kiwi summer staple and this summer Anchor is setting out to find New Zealand’s best! Just like jandals, sunnies and your favourite faded beach towel, a cold delicious milkshake is a summertime must-have, but who makes the best one?

Maybe it’s your local café or that quirky ice-cream bar that has queues out the door from morning till night, or perhaps it’s that bright blue dairy opposite the surf club. It’s time for you to tell us!

New Zealand’s Best Milkshake Competition calls for Kiwis to get their hands on a milkshake, decide that their delicious milkshake deserves the top spot, get to the Bestmilkshake.co.nz/vote website and vote for their favourite milkshake. With four categories to pick from; Best Protein, Best Lactose Free, Best Smoothie or Best Creative Combination Milkshake there’s something to cater to every taste.

The competition is sure to unveil the next Kiwi masterpiece. The top milkshake in the four regions* around the country will be decided by popular vote. The top regional milkshakes will then be judged by milkshake aficionado Deanna Yang – otherwise known as the chief cookie master behind the popular Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar.

Deanna says, “There’s nothing quite like a frothy, sweet milkshake to quench your thirst on a summer’s day! I’m so looking forward to seeing the amazing creations that will come from all around New Zealand.” Yang will be calling on Tirau-based Fonterra farmer Joanne Leigh to help in the judging process as she travels around New Zealand to find the best in the land.

Voting is open now for Kiwis to pick their favourite milkshake and runs for three months to the end of February.
