Bestselling cookbook author and food writer, Chelsea Winter, has created a limited edition, Gourmet Moroccan Lamb pie exclusively for Z Energy. It contains a tantalising mix of ingredients including lean, tender lamb, apricots, tomato, chilli, onions, garlic, ginger and a range of herbs and spices.

Z’s Convenience Retail Manager, Glen Nixon, said that Z was excited to partner with one of New Zealand’s favourite cooks.

“We wanted to give our customers a taste of something deliciously different, and Chelsea is an obvious choice to help us with that. She’s authentic and refreshing and a great fit with our values. Her food isn’t fussy or pretentious – it’s simply good food!

“We’re absolutely delighted to have someone of Chelsea’s talents create such a pie for us. She is committed to real, nourishing food, and given she’s a pie lover herself, she knows what she’s doing!” Glen said.

Chelsea is similarly excited about creating the limited edition pie for Z.

“It was very cool to be approached by Z – it’s such a distinctive Kiwi brand and (quite appropriately) my favourite service station – the friendliest service by a mile!

“Pies are such a classic New Zealand icon, and no one does them better than us Kiwis. I’ve always been partial to grabbing the odd cheeky pie while filling ‘er up, and now, one of my creations will be in the warmer! I shall be heading out to get one as soon as they’re available - and telling my friends and family to do the same!” said Chelsea.
