Elizabeth Arden offers a technology that delivers the best in personalisation: Custom Color Foundation, matched to any skin tone.  The exclusive technology is designed to perfectly blend a custom foundation to match each individual’s exact skin tone.  An optical skin diagnostic tool (spectrophotometer) analyses the skin’s depth of colour and tone to calculate the pigment levels required to create a perfect match.
 
It assesses the four pigments that make up everyone’s skin colour: black, white, red and yellow. Impressively, it not only creates a perfect match combination, but the formulation can be customised based on each person’s unique skin needs and preferences.  For instance, mattifiers and moisturisers can be added and coverage levels can be adjusted.  Ultimately, it offers three coverage levels (sheer, medium or full) and two finish choices (matte or natural) for dry, normal or oily skin.
 
The brand’s patented technology takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect match and eliminates inaccuracies due to store lighting and human error.  Custom Color Foundation is 100 percent foolproof, providing an exact match every time for a finish that looks and feels like second skin.
 


The Custom Color Foundation analyser also provides suggestions of colour products ideal for each individual based on her specific skin tone and depth of colour.  And it has the ability to create makeup looks based on each person’s skin tone.  Three “looks” are provided: Minimalist, Polished and Daring. Minimalist is fresh and simple; Polished is classic and timeless; and Daring is dramatic and trend-setting. Customers have the ability and convenience, of getting their makeup done and/or purchasing suggested products on the spot.  They can also receive their personalised makeup looks via email.
 
A Custom Color Foundation analysis and perfectly blended foundation (30ml) is RRP$88 and takes only a few minutes.  Each individual’s results are saved in the system for easy replenishment in-person or by calling the store.
