Queenstown-based company MAXRaft has been recognised as one of New Zealand’s fastest growing companies by Deloitte.

At the Deloitte regional awards for Dunedin and the lower South Island, the award-winning company took home the award for Fastest Growing Manufacturer in recognition of its continued revenue growth.
The company listed number 33 in the overall Deloitte Fast 50 index in 2015, with a growth rate of over 257%. MAXRaft is once again a contender for a 2016 national award -- winners will be unveiled as part of the Deloitte Festival of Fast Growth in Auckland on November 16.

Launched in 2013, MAXRaft manufactures the only fully insulated residential building slab on the New Zealand market. MAXRaft’s patented edge profile is unique, and contributes to the slab having an R-value (measure of thermal resistance) three times the current New Zealand building code.

The revolutionary system is helping New Zealanders build warm, healthy and energy efficient homes from the foundations up – saving homeowners hundreds of dollars each year on heating bills.

General Manager Henry Edney said being named in Deloitte’s Fast 50 for the second time was testament to the company’s hardworking team and continued development of an outstanding product.
“We’re growing a sustainable business on the back of an innovative product,” he said. “We’re committed to making MAXRaft an affordable solution for New Zealanders to build better homes.

“We’re thrilled at being able once again to work closely with Deloitte and its partners in order to help drive our year-on-year growth.

“The index helps connect us to companies experiencing similar growth patterns and challenges, offering opportunities to share stories and continuously improve.”

Entrants for the Fast 50 are required to be in business for a minimum of three years, and have a minimum operating revenue of $300,000.

Queenstown’s Deloitte Director Daniel Hellyer said the Deloitte Fast 50 “lives and breathes” innovative companies like MAXRaft.

“The company has achieved impressive year-on-year growth by doing something simple that their competitors aren’t – offering a fully insulated slab solution to homes,” said Mr Hellyer.

“The determination and drive from directors and management has seen the business grow from its base in Queenstown, to manufacturing and installing the product nationwide.

“It’s been exciting to join the MAXRaft team on their Deloitte Fast 50 journey. I look forward to see where they sit in the overall index in November, and beyond.”

Further developments will launch later this year to offer an insulated product with higher insulation values that comes pre-coated on the outside edge -- making the slab more affordable.
