Sebastian Kienle wins the fourth edition of Cannes International Triathlon

In the women's category, the swiss Emma Bilham won the first place at 4:31:14

This Sunday, April 16, 1,200 triathletes have staged the fourth edition of Cannes International Triathlon (CIT). The triathlon premiered format with only one distance of 2 km swim, 100 km bike and 16 km run. In addition, a renewed and hard cycling circuit was key in the development of the competition.

In a sunny day and with a lot of people supporting the competitors, everybody was pending the fight between Sebastian Kienle and Andreas Raelert. Both knew what it was to compete in Cannes with their third place in 2015 and 2016, respectively, and this time they wanted to climb to the top of the podium.

With a great performance and leader from the cycling to the finish line, the german Sebastian Kienle was the one who achieved the goal. Ironman World Champion in 2014 and European Ironman Champion, in 2014 and 2016, Kienle managed his advantage in the running and crossed the finish line in 3:53:33. Behind, Léo Bergère (3:59:36) and Etienne Diemunsch (4:00:42), winner in 2016. Andreas Raelert was fifth in a time of 4:02:09.

In the women's category, the win was for the swiss Emma Bilham with a time of 4:31:14. Second place for the french Charlotte Morel (4:38:13) and third for the frenchwoman Johanna Daumas Carrier (4:41:01).
