Bakeworks’ new Home St. brand pays homage to its founders Kirsten and Dave, who met 22 years ago while living in a flat on none other than Home Street in Auckland’s Grey Lynn. With a shared passion for food made the way it should be, the Bakeworks seed was planted and the duo began their quest to bring real, good food to the people who so desperately wanted it.

Now to look forward, Kirsten and Dave have looked back – back to the time when nutrition mattered, and Mum kept a jar of alfalfa sprouts on the window sill. Back to the days spent at their flat on Home Street, dreaming of making food together that was good and honest and wholesome.

The result is a range of products that are as nutritious as they are delicious. As well as being unbelievably soft and fresh, Home St. bread is baked with sprouted and activated seeds, meaning the nutrient store has been unlocked to make them more bioavailable and easy for your body to absorb. Every ingredient – many of them organic – has been hand-picked based on its nutritional properties to create something special that serves your health and your tastebuds.
