Decisions were made in the Qualifying on Saturday afternoon: 23 riders from 8 nations competed for the win in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. On the top of the podium was the Belgian Thomas “Tommy” Genon. The 23-year-old and current 5th placed in the FMB world rankings managed the urban Slopestyle course best. He had a great trick variation, difficulty and style - he scored 89,00 points in his first run.

With three points short French rider Simon Pagés took home second place ahead of his fellow countryman Antonin Honoré. The 19-year-old rising star Erik Fedko from Germany also showed a great performance and finished slightly just out of the TOP3 coming in fourth, just missing his first ever podium at a FMB gold event.

Apart of the Slopestyle contest the GlemmRide Bike Festival 2017 had especially for the young riders a lot to get in touch with: On the Pro-Line of the “Reiterkogel” the GlemmRide Downhill and the Specialized Rookies Cup presented by iXS were looking for their champions. At the Kids Training Session (4-10 years) the young riders had the chance to learn from the best: legend Timo Pritzel and Endo Mendoza. The Ladies only session with freeride rider Angie Hohenwarter and local hero Vali Höll at the Bergamont Pumptrack was also great fun to get in touch with the pros.
