Round 3 of the Trust House Series took place over a testing hilly circuit featuring a gravel sector, but Josh Page continued his fine form from last weeks Hawkes Bay Tour in taking a fine win and elevating himself into the series leader.

The race started with plenty of attacking, but the field was kept together a fine team effort with the riders marking moves and working well together. Things stayed that way until Jack Compton escaped on the climb, but his lead never exceeded beyond a minute, and a controlled effort by the Tank Guy / Bike Box riders brought the field back together as they entered the gravel sector. Then it was Page and Matt Webb-Smith who took control of the race escaping and finishing clear of the field for a 1-2 finish.

Back in the main bunch U23 series leader Madi Hartley-Brown took out the sprint, from Tank Guy Bike Box Team mates Dylan Simpson and Matt Frecklington.

The result was an unprecedented 1-2-3-4-5 finish for the Team. That wasn’t all, Page taking the lead in the Series for the Elite men, while Hartley-Brown consolidated his lead in the U23 standings.
K1 couple take out U23 titles.
