Looking for a natural, super thick yoghurt that’s packed with protein and only 2% milk fat per tub? Say hello to The Collective’s Pro-yo – a new Skyr yoghurt of Icelandic tradition.

The first to craft Skyr here in NZ, The Collective’s technique involves the customary practice of straining the yoghurt to remove its whey, resulting in a super thick yoghurt with a 12g whack of natural protein oomph – the perfect pre- or post-workout snack!

Topping a delicious layer of fruit in a range of five flavours, Pro-yo Skyr tubs are thicker than Greek yoghurt and have a milder taste with a slight tang. Founder of The Collective Angus Allan says they’ve been huge fans of the taste and texture of Skyr yoghurt for some time now, and it was a case of when, not if, they would make it available for Kiwis.

“Skyr is a traditional Icelandic cultural dairy product that was introduced by the Vikings over 1,000 years ago. Its super thick yet silky texture, along with high protein and low fat levels, have seen its resurgence in the US and Europe, and we knew Kiwis would love it too,” he says.

The Collective’s Pro-yo Skyr yoghurts are gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and free from all nasties like artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Available in convenient 150g single serve tubs and mouth-watering Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango, Rhubarb and Blackberry & Elderberry flavours, you’ll struggle to pick your favourite! Check out the whole range in store now, RRP $3.30 per tub.
