Globus will set out in search of grizzly bears and orca whales next year as part of an action-packed United States and Canada tour program.

A brand new British Columbia Wildlife Safari is one of three new itineraries introduced for the 2014 season, offering a chance to see bears, seals, whales, dolphins, eagles and other animals in the pristine Canadian wilderness.

The new tours are among more than 50 itineraries now on sale, providing premium Globus experiences across the length and breadth of the US and Canada, as well as a selection in South America.

To mark the launch of the 2014 program, Globus is offering earlybird savings of 10 per cent* on all tours booked 12 months or more ahead of departure.  Further savings are available for Journeys Club repeat travellers, groups of five or more people and for multiple-tour bookings.

The 10-day British Columbia Wildlife Safari is one of the highlights of the new brochure, priced from NZ$3259 per person twin share. Travelling from Vancouver, it includes a bear-watching expedition by boat, providing a chance to spot grizzly bears as they forage for crabs and clams at the water’s edge.

Other new tours include the 10-day Discover Glacier National Park, Hells Canyon and Washington Wine Country, a focus on the spectacular landscapes of America’s north-west. Priced from NZ$3289 per person twin share, it travels from Seattle through the mountains and canyons of the states of Washington, Idaho and Montana.

Globus has also introduced the nine-day Wonders of the Maritimes & Scenic Cape Breton, exploring the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Priced from NZ$2669 per person twin share, it offers a chance to sample the fishing villages, rugged landscapes and renowned seafood of the Atlantic coast.

Other features of the 2014 program include the Globus GoParks! partnership with the US National Park Foundation, through which Globus contributes towards National Park preservation.  In return, Globus travellers access exclusive experiences and accommodation inside many key parks.

Globus offers premium tours featuring top accommodation and luxury coaches, most fitted with free wi-fi services on the road. Globus tours provide more inclusions, special experiences and local knowledge, allowing travellers to get a deeper insight into each destination.
