JUMP, Auckland’s much-anticipated, giant trampoline venue, is now open and taking online bookings.

Ideal for all ages – from toddlers to pensioners – JUMP features more than 70 trampolines and activities include performance walls and ramps for stunts, a massive foam pit with swing rope, free-running areas, elevated basketball hoop with mini-tramp lead up and a dodgeball court.

“We saw an indoor trampoline arena when we were on holiday in Las Vegas and couldn’t wait to launch a venue in Auckland, we just knew that Kiwis would love it,” says JUMP managing director David Mu.

“Whether you’re a pre-schooler having a birthday party, through to adults competing in a dodgeball league, or mates learning how to do a forward somersault, you are having so much fun it doesn’t feel like exercising. Yet it provides a great way to get fit or stay fit.”

Aucklanders David and his wife Sandra Mu, have spent the past 18 months planning the high-energy venue, sourcing a suitable location and trampoline manufacturer and installer from the United States.

Hourly sessions cost $16.50 for adults and $10 for mini-jumpers (under 110cm). A family of four is $50. The seven-day entertainment venue caters for parties through to corporate events with two on-site chefs.

American reality stars The Kardashians have raved about a similar indoor trampoline venue in the United States and it is believed to be an alternative training activity for astronauts and athletes. Only 10 minutes trampolining equates to a 30-minute run for energy output.

David adds, “We are really excited to be open and hope JUMP has the same ‘wow’ factor we got out from the park in Vegas. We will have more JUMP centres opening across Auckland next year.”
