Dan Carter is set to once again take pride of place on billboards across the country – and this time, partner Honor Dillon is joining him.

The world’s best #10 and his long-term partner will be turning heads on sites in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch as Jockey launches into its 2009 ad programme.

Titled “Get Ready”, the campaign features three new Jockey billboards and a series of ads in women’s magazines.

“When you take a second look you’ll see Honor and Dan’s attire reflects the modern comfortable, contemporary, stylish underwear look loved by Kiwi guys and girls,” says Jockey NZ marketing manager, Tanya Foster.

“Jockey is making huge inroads in to the women’s underwear market and Honor is a star in her own right, so we’re absolutely delighted to get the gifted New Zealand hockey rep to model in partnership with Dan.”

The ads were shot in June soon after Dan returned to New Zealand from his French connection.

It’s the 5th time the champion first-five has donned his Jockeys for the camera in a successful relationship that has launched the man as one of the globe’s most recognised clothes horses.

US-based Jockey chief Tim Wheeler is on record as saying Dan is one of the finest models the brand has ever used and is “recognised from Mosgiel to Moscow”.

“The campaign is all about Jockey helping you get ready for whatever your day throws at you,” Tanya says. “High profile and talented sporting personalities help reflect the quality and confidence the Jockey brand delivers.”

The popular player takes his place alongside top sportsmen such as Chris Cairns, Danny Morrison, Zinzan Brooke, Paul MacDonald, Ian Ferguson and Mathew Ridge who have all donned a pair of Jockeys for the camera.

Tanya Foster says the ads won’t be used outside the country because Jockey’s international ranges are different to those marketed in New Zealand.

In Auckland, you can see the much talked about torsos on seven billboards in the CBD, Downtown, Victoria Park and in Shore City and Westfield Albany.
