Noosa is set to host a bevy of famous athletes this weekend

Noosa, Queensland, (Thursday, 24 April 2014) Noosa will play host to thousands of sporting enthusiasts as well as a multitude of famous athletes including professional triathletes Belinda Granger and Justin Granger, open water specialist Trent Grimsey, IRONMAN Champion Melissa Haushildt and Surf Ironman Ky Hurst at the Noosa Ultimate Sports Fest this weekend.

Noosa Ultimate Sports Fest offers participants a variety of swimming, running and cycling events for all ages with a distance to suit all abilities.

There’s plenty to take part in across the weekend, make a splash in one of the ZINC 96.1 SWIM NOOSA ocean swim events. The distances to choose from include a 3.8km, 2km, 1km and 500m ocean swim washing up on Saturday 26 April.

For the cycling enthusiasts there are two distances to gear up for in the SUBARU CYCLE NOOSA; 160km and 85km, taking place on Sunday 27 April. Both courses are designed to move your legs and impress your eyes as you will be in awe of the stunning Sunshine Coast journey.

For those who prefer to take part in events on foot the 7 LOCAL NEWS RUN NOOSA is for you - offering a leg for everyone. All distances will take in the best that Noosa has to offer with gorgeous beach scenery. Whether you are looking for a half marathon target, a 10km test or a 5km run/walk with the family, the 7 LOCAL NEWS RUN NOOSA has something for you.

Noosa provides the perfect setting for this weekend and will transform the beach and streets into a vibrant and exciting event, attracting thousands of participants and spectators.

The festival weekend will be based out of Noosa Heads and will also include an expo and entertainment program each day that the whole family can enjoy.
